A HOLTON Road cafe has launched an appeal for Barry knitters to come forward with their unwanted yarn.
The Old Post Office cafe is seeking donations of unwanted knitting wool to supply to one of its patrons to raise money for the Velindre cancer charity.
Chicks will be knitted for Easter with Christmas puddings and chocolate oranges planned for December.
All plies and colours are welcome as wool, outside of the colour scheme, will be used to make hats for the homeless and contribute towards Operation Christmas Child.
Volunteers, wishing to join the knitting army, are also welcome to enlist.
To donate, or for more details, visit the cafe at the Bassett end of Holton Road, Barry, during opening hours.
