DOGS are urged to take the lead and urge their owners to go for a charity walk from Barry Island to Jackson’s Bay and back.
The canines, borrowed or owned, will accompany their humans on Petagonia - a walk where all funds raised will go towards the Velinndre Patagonia Trek and the Dogs Trust.
Entry costs £3 per person, with all dogs free, with a tea or coffee free for each participant returning to the Marco’s Cafe, Barry Island, start and end point.
Marco’s Cafe staff member, Rhona Court, said she would be taking her two show dog rottweilers, Tara, five, and Gem, two, to raise money for the charities by seeking sponsorship in addition to her entry fee.
The walk begins at 10m on Saturday, October 11.
