A BARRY teenager recently swapped a board for abroad when he made a stealthy move into public speaking.
18-year-old Rhys Steele exchanged his chess prowess to join Team Wales in a debating contest in Thailand.
The team fared well with Rhys gaining the honour of becoming number 26 in the world on speaker tab.
And while he was in Asia, Oxford university informed him he had obtained a place.
