A HALLOWE'EN party is aiming to be the highlight of spooky action the day after the witches and wizards have departed.

A children's Hallowe'en Party featuring ghostly goings on and a scary disco will take place at the Highlight Park community centre, Stirling Road, Barry, from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday, November 1.

Tickets are on sale now and are £5.95 for children three years and over, adults and under threes go free.

Organiser, Alana Dalton said: “We have a scary Hallowe'en disco providing games and prizes for the scariest costume, apple bobbing, free squash for all children and why not try the frightening trick or treat room and see if you’re brave enough to get your treat.

“We also have stalls offering balloon modelling, face painting, glitter tattoos, toffee apples, refreshments such as tea and coffee, decorate your own scary cupcake and pumpkin carving.”

All children must be supervised or helped by parent or guardian.

Alana added: “We are supporting our local dance company Motion Control Dance Programme to help them raise some much needed funds and support.

“Not only do they give children of all ages the chance to dance whilst broadening their horizons, they also work with local schools, provide children, disabled and boy workshop projects, and offer accredited training courses for those who want a career in dance.

“Their very talented teachers offer a wide range of dance opportunities and services in street dance, break dance, hip hop, contemporary and choreography."

Please help us raise money and support for this outstanding dance programme which helps so many children, of all abilities, have 'a chance to dance'
