BARRY Arts Centre would like to thank everyone who came and supported its annual Teddy bears picnic. Great fun was had by all and lots of teddy bears turned up for out Teddy bear competition.

Children had a picnic with Goldilocks and the three bears and a special visit from “Tangled” Princess Rapunzel. There were lots of arts and crafts and games and yummy cakes and everyone went away full and happy.

A huge thank you to all who donated and to all the outside stall holders who supported this event.

A special thank you to “One Stop” for their continued support with us and donations and to “Box fresh” for providing the picnic boxes, also to Sainsbury for the donation of healthy snacks.

Barry Art’s Centre is looking for new members to perform in their two new productions this November and December.

First excerpts from Confusions by Alan Ayckbourn (on the school curriculum this year) and then a Christmas Cabaret full of musical numbers and dance. An open evening will take place on Thursday, September 11 at 7.30pm, where anyone interested in joining can get a preview of both shows and audition information.

We look forward to seeing you all and here is to a new and bright future for the oldest arts group in Barry.
