A FREE one-day stress busting course for anyone suffering from stress or anxiety will take place in Barry on Wednesday, September 17.

Barry Communities First in partnership with Journeys Mental Health Charity will running the course which will look at what anxiety and stress are, the signs and symptoms to look out for and helpful techniques on how to reduce the affects anxiety and stress can have on everyday life.

The course includes relaxation tips and methods for changing the way we think about ourselves and our abilities to cope effectively with life’s challenges.

Those attending will also have the opportunity to build relationships and talk to others who have experienced similar difficulties, sharing tips and techniques and offering mutual support.

The course takes place at the Community Enterprise Centre, Skomer Road, Gibbonsdown, Barry, and runs from 10am to 4pm.

A free buffet will be provided.

Barry Communities First is a Welsh Government funded anti-poverty programme aimed at improving the health, prosperity and learning of residents living in parts of Buttrills, Cadoc, Court, Castleland and Gibbonsdown.
