BARRY Coastguard answered a call to assist after waves threw two 12-year-old girls against rocks at Tresilian Bay, Llantwit Major on Tuesday, August 26.
The youngsters suffered spinal injuries and were later flown to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff following the incident around 7.50pm.
The Barry crew assisted the Llantwit Major Coastguard Rescue Team and helped with the RAF Sea King helicopter from Chivenor.
