A CAMPAIGN to increase the use of Welsh in Barry, has gained support from Vale MP Alun Cairns.
The language campaign, aimed at encouraging the community to “do the little things in Welsh” or “Pethau Bychain” has been launched by the Welsh Government as part of a long term effort to gather ideas on how the use of the Welsh language in communities can be increased.
Vale MP Alun Cairns said: “The Welsh language is very important for my family, and to so many communities in Barry and the Vale. I believe the use of Welsh can be encouraged by sharing ideas, and by doing the smaller things in Welsh we can help preserve and grow the language as well as helping learners.”
