A BARRY chilli sauce entrepreneur has broadened his store horizons with a four-week sales trial in a national chain.

Hot Diggidy Dog businessman, Simon Llewellyn’s sauce is being sold in 50 TK Maxx stores around the UK, with the possibility of more stores jumping on board if sales prove hot.

The company is also looking at the possibility of expanding into the Belgian or German market.

Former submariner, Simon began selling his own-brand sauce on a Barry market stall and at various trade shows and store giants Asda, Tesco, and Selfridges have made it available to customers with Vic Hopkins butchers, in High Street Barry, being a local, independent source of sale.

Hot Diggidy Dog has also seen 300,000 5ml ration-sized bottles of sauce snapped up by the Ministry of Defence for supply to troops serving abroad.
