DRIVERS in the Vale of Glamorgan will be able to get cheaper petrol from tomorrow Tuesday, August 19 as Asda cuts the cost of fuel across all 234 UK forecourts.

Unleaded fuel will be cut by two pence per litre with one pence per litre cut on Diesel, just in time for drivers and families heading off for family fun this Bank Holiday weekend.

This is the second time this summer that Asda has lead the way by cutting the price of fuel for its customers.

A new national price cap means drivers across the UK will pay no more than 124.7ppl on Unleaded and 128.7 ppl on Diesel at any Asda forecourt.

Asda aims to offer the lowest priced fuel week in week out without any confusing promotions, leaving the tricks, gimmicks and lock-ins to others.

Andy Peake, Asda’s petrol director said: “We’re giving holiday-makers the opportunity to fill up their cars with some of the cheapest fuel prices in the market for years.

"It now costs £6 less than last summer to fill up a family car with fuel, meaning we’re putting much needed cash back in drivers’ pockets for those bank holiday ice creams.”
