Money grows from trees

First published in News by

A GROUP of Level 1 carpentry students at Cardiff and Vale College have been awarded a grant of more than £3,000 to aid Forces veterans.

The students will develop wood products that will be sold to raise the money.

The Timber Thinkers project stemmed from a Welsh Baccalaureate project where the group made clocks from logs.

They recently created a few prototypes which were all personalised and of good quality.

The profits from the venture will support the Welsh Guards centenary anniversary on March 1 2015, and these plaques will help to raise much needed funds for charities linked with the Welsh Guards.
