LEARN How to Use a Computer/ Tablet/Internet

Want to improve your computer skills but not sure where to begin? Come to one of Barry Communities First’s FREE weekly Digital Drop Ins. At these sessions you can work with one of our support workers to learn the basics including how to use a mouse and keyboard, Microsoft Word, how to use the internet/email and much more at your own pace.

These sessions run every Tuesday, 10am–12pm, at the Community Enterprise Centre, Skomer Road.

Every Wednesday, 1pm–3pm, at the Margaret Alexander Community Centre.

Every Thursday ,1pm–3pm, at Victoria Park Community Centre.

Job Club

Our weekly Job Club will give you the opportunity to work with a support worker to assist you in searching for jobs, filling out application forms and giving you advice on how to interview.

This Job Club takes place at 10am–1pm at Barry Library.

Booking is required.

Citizens Advice Bureau Drop In Advice Surgeries

Barry Communities First in partnership with the Citizen’s Advice Bureau run drop in advice surgeries for issues including debt, housing, benefits and health.

These take place on Tuesdays, 10am–1pm at the Community Enterprise Centre, Skomer Road and on Thursdays, 1pm–3pm at Victoria Park Community Centre,Cadoxton.

Building Confident Families

This four week course is aimed at building resilience in families through understanding a families stressors and finding ways to deal with family situations effectively.

This takes place every Wednesday, between August 13 and September 3, 1pm–3pm at The People Centre, 3 Dunlin Court (near Thompson Street)
