PROJECT: Jane Hutt AM with Jamie Baker from VCVS at the Eisteddfod
LAST week at the National Eisteddfod a Heritage Lottery project was showcased. ‘Barry-A New Community’ supported by Vale Centre for Voluntary Services (VCVS) focuses on Barry during the boom years of the docks and coincides with the 100 year anniversary of World War One.
Local AM Jane Hutt was at the Eisteddfod in Llanelli and was shown a display of Barry family history by Jamie Baker from VCVS.
Jane Hutt AM also congratulated the Learners Choir directed by Dot Connell which won first prize in the learners section with singers from the Vale featured in the line up.
