MEMBERS of the Public and Commercial Services union (PCS) working at sites of Amgueddfa Cymru/National Museum Wales will begin a campaign of industrial action this Saturday that will last until the end of the summer holidays. Union members in St Fagans National History Museum and National Museum Cardiff at Cathays Park will walk out at 1pm on Saturday in protest over cuts to pay and pensions. The strikes follow a national campaign last month that saw hundreds of thousands of public sector workers walk out over pay disputes.
The Cardiff museums are likely to remain open, with the possibility of limited entry. Strike action will continue to take place every Saturday and Sunday afternoon throughout August.
