AIR Cadets from 372 (Barry) Squadron, recently travelled to the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford to see the world’s largest military airshow.

Few events can rival the intensity, drama and spectacle on offer at the world's greatest airshow. The Air Tattoo not only includes thrilling flying action from over 250 aircraft from Air Forces around the World, but the cadets were also treated to non-stop entertainment on the ground with many interactive displays.

The cadets saw many impressive displays including the F16 Fighting Falcon, Tornado, Typhoon, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Red Arrows; the French, Spanish and Italian aerobatic display teams. The Italian Air Force acrobatic team “Frecce Tricolori Display team” also put on an amazing display of their flying skills.

Cadet Alex Cheeseley said: “The flying displays were really cool. My favourite display was seeing the Red Arrows. Whole day was amazing.”

The cadets who attended were: Nathan Thompson, Jake Paterson, Jon Spragg, Alex Spragg, Ellie Poulakis, Zena Poulakis, Rhys Lewis, Nathan Loxton, Jacob Petre, Dominic Bushell, Kieren Bushell, Rachael Carbis, Alex Cheeseley and Pippa Cowles.
