WITH the Barry Arts Festival launching on July 26, a sneak preview of local talent is on show at the Travellers Gallery at Barry Town Station with the theme 'My Town' resulting in great exhibits featuring Barry at its best.

Keen to promote the Barry Arts Festival, the Vale AM, Jane Hutt, visited the gallery for a coffee and chat with the MIND in the Vale team who run the gallery and a popular cafe at the station, full of praise for the organising effort by the festival committee.

Chaired by Dot Connell, the festival is also very fortunate to have Gillian Clarke, the National Poet of Wales as its patron who commented: "Every good town is uplifted by having its own festival and I have no doubt the Barry Arts Festival will have a lasting and positive impact on the town."
