BRYN Hafren hosted its annual art and design technology exhibition and fashion show recently celebrating the work of this years GCSE and A Level pupils.

The exhibition showed a range of work from design technology, fine art, photography, ceramics and textiles.

Mr Oliver, head of art and design faculty said: “ I really enjoy the exhibition as it is fantastic for parents to see the work their children have created. Our pupils are really creative and have made some professional looking products.”

Also during the evening were two fashion shows featuring work from all years in school, including t-shirt prints inspired by Aboriginal and Rainforest themes, Recycled and Up-cycled Fashion by years 8 and 9, Tribal Fusion shift dresses by year 10 and the finale of GCSE, AS and A Level work inspired by individually chosen themes.

Mrs Paulakis who organised the fashion show said: “ I am really proud of all the girls who took part, it was fantastic to see so many involved.”

Megan Hewitson, a year 9 pupil said: “I really enjoyed contributing towards the fashion show, I feel like it boosted my confidence, it was a brilliant experience to see my work on the catwalk. I can’t wait to take part next year!”
