MORE than 60 children from two Barry schools experienced the thrills of the West Country thanks to Barry Rotary Club, recently.
The Club took two coach loads of kids and supporting teachers to Brean Sands Leisure Park in Somerset, as part of its involvement with the Kid’s Out charity which once a year presents children with the opportunity to have a day out.
Children and teachers, from Barry Island and Palmerston primaries and Ysgol Maes Dyfan made maximum use of all the rides available – including the waterslide – followed by an ice-cream.
John Shapland, accompanying the kids on behalf of Barry Rotary Club, said all the children were very good and it was a thoroughly successful day and he was already looking forward to next year’s trip.
