A CAR stop-and-search has led to police discovering around £2000 worth of cannabis and ecstasy tablets in a Barry home.
Officers discovered the haul, during a drugs search on a house in York Place, on Saturday, June 28.
The raid saw them find a small amount of cannabis in the suspect’s car prior to carrying out a thorough search of the house.
The search revealed cannabis worth around £2,000, ecstasy and other substances and a sum of cash.
Officers also conducted a connected search on another house in the area and found evidence of cannabis cultivation and cannabis plants worth around £7,000.
Detective Sergeant Julian Kerslake said: “Most of what we do is led by concern from residents who don’t want to see cannabis in their streets.”
Two men from Barry have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs of Class B.
Both men have been bailed pending further investigations.
