VALE MP Alun Cairns played Cupid when he conspired to instigate wedding bells for a Barry resident wanting to pop a non Prime Minister question.
Highlight Park resident Nathan Sherratt approached Alun some time ago to ask if he was able to bring his girlfriend, Maria, for a tour of the House of Commons, with the aim of tabling a marriage proposal.
Nathan wanted to propose to her on the world famous terrace overlooking the Thames and the London Eye.
Alun said: “I was surprised to get Nathan’s request but delighted to help with such an exciting event. It was very romantic and I was so relieved that Maria said yes!
“I wish them both all the very best for the future.”
