A BARRY schoolboy has so far collected around £600 in his bid to raise £1000 for the charity that helped his dad.
Palmerston primary school pupil Jack Rees-Davies is hoping to boost funds for the Marie Curie hospice, in Penarth, by making and selling loom bands to family, friends, and neighbours.
Jack’s dad, 47-year-old Martin Rees-Davies suffering from cancer and died in April this year and nine-year-old, Jack is paying tribute to his dad by making and selling loom bands.
The creative and business-minded youngster has roped friends Dan Quigley, 10, and his brother Jake, seven, of Ysgol St Curig, and Brooke Leigh Seer, eight, of Oak Field primary, into his scheme.
To help Jack, Dan, Jake and Brooke raise more funds for Marie Curie, you can order a loom band bracelet, costing £2 for adults, £1.50 for children, by emailing jrdloomies2014@gmail.com and an adult will relay your order.
