HUNDREDS of parents, grandparents and friends were treated to a World Cup themed entertainment extravaganza at a Barry school last week.
320 pupils from Colcot primary school showed the England football team’s defeat the red card and gave their Barry fans song, dance, and comedy to cheer.
The youngsters adopted teams that had qualified for the tournament and based their stints on countries such as Japan, Spain, Brazil, Australia and Holland.
They spent a week rehearsing for the two-hour gig.
Head teacher, Nia Cule said: “It was superb. It was amazing. The parents loved it and all seemed to enjoy themselves.”
The pupils celebrated their performances with a free picnic lunch and the arrival of a bouncy castle.
