ARE you interested in all sorts of literature, including poetry, but don’t know where to start? Do you want a little bit of peace, some 'me-time' in your busy life to listen to a good story well-read?
Meetings of the Barry Shared Reading Group will re-commence after a short break this Friday, June 27, at 12.30pm in the Community Room, upstairs at Barry Library.
Group Facilitator Andy Griffiths said: "I’ve been busy starting up the new Pop-Up Libraries in Care Homes and Sheltered Housing Schemes for the last few weeks, so I thought it best that we take a short break.
"But I’ve missed the lively discussion and look forward to welcoming members old and new at Friday's meeting."
Anyone can come to the meetings, you don’t have to be a big reader, but you will always be made very welcome. There is no pressure on anybody to read aloud - just to listen. Refreshments are provided, so it’s an ideal way to spend your lunch break.
