TALENT spotters in Barry have launched a search for people keen to clinch a paid job teaching performance in China.

Barry-based Superstars in the Making is looking for people, aged 18 plus with a degree qualification in a performing arts related subject, to teach Superstars in the Making's trademarked method of performance training and English language learning.

Successful applicants will be trained in Barry to travel to China.

They will be will be based in either Zhengzhou or Nanjing in China with further opportunities for workshops in Shanghai and Beijing.

They will receive flights, accommodation, visas and insurance, all paid for, and given a salary.

Director, Christian Bullen said: “We are looking for really enthusiastic people who will represent the local brand well.”

20 Chinese people will travel to the Vale and train for five days with Superstars in the Making at the Memo Arts Centre, Barry, on July 20.

They will work with Christian Bullen and his team of experts to create a performance of James and the Giant Peach.

Christian said: "This really is a true opportunity to show off the Arts in Barry.

"I am extremely proud to be able to offer this opportunity to local people as well as our international students.

“After our recent success with student Jodi Bird making it big on Britain’s Got Talent and some more student success stories, I am pleased that our Barry academy is able to offer something to the local community."

More than 150 young people training at Superstars in the Making’s academy.

The academy is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year.
