A BARRY-BASED society is staging a competition for creative people with an eye for logo design.

The Flat Holm Society has decided a rebrand is in order and is keen to hear from people with great ideas.

The logo must be distinctive, in either a circle or square shape, recognisable on both small and large scales, work in both colour and black and white and adaptable into different colours.

The drawing or design must be original, and any text font one in the public domain, and tell a story connected with the Flat Holm island.

Several committee and society members are able to convert the logo into a digital image.

The competition is open to all, but under 16s need parents’ consent.

The winner will get a free trip to the island plus a year’s free membership of The Flat Holm Society.

There will be two runners up and the three designs will be displayed on the society’s website.

The deadline for entries is, July 31.

Entries should include a full postal address and contact details.
