RAF Personnel from MOD St Athan will parade through Barry on Monday, June 23 to mark the beginning of Armed Forces Week .
The parade, starting at King Square at 10.30am, will commemorate 75 years of the Royal Air Force in South Wales.
The salute will be taken a the Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry.
Vale mayor, Cllr Howard Hamilton will join representatives from MOD St Athan, including commanding officer, wing commander Robert Balls for a short ceremony at which the Armed Forces Day flag will be raised.
The RAF based at St Athan were granted the freedom of the town in May 1959 and made Honorary Freemen of the Vale of Glamorgan in 1974.
Vale residents are being encouraged to line the street to show their support.
