The Performing Arts Faculty at Barry Comprehensive School once again showed the wealth of talent that is alive within the school, as pupils from across the age ranges staged fantastic shows, over two wonderful evenings of music and performance.

The drama showcase on the first evening displayed a collection of GSCE exam performances that were both emotive and heartfelt in range and concept, bringing tears and astonishment from those in the audience.

The second night introduced a fantastically wide range of music, with fine performances from all involved.

This included the resident school band, the percussion band, and host of other musical talent.

There were a variety of arrangements from the choir, ensembles, duets, and solo performers, all giving exciting renditions of celebrated works from musicals and movies.

All of the money raised over the two evenings was in aid of the Sri Lanka visit this summer, when six pupils and two teachers will visit the country to provide support for orphanages, schools and hospitals assisting the on-going work of the Help Lanka charity.

Great appreciation is extended to all those who performed, along with the support that was received from all of the family and friends that were in attendance.
