CELTIC Way Community Association provides a community service for both young and older people living in the Rhoose area to enjoy their social and sporting activities.

Lots of activities take place there such as playgroup, dance school, young at heart club, yoga, taekwondo, youth club, slimming club etc. The centre is also a hub for various community meetings. It is used on a regular basis enabling people to socialise and promote their activities.

In order for this community centre to continue its good work they are looking for volunteers to participate in the roles of volunteer treasurer, secretary, chairperson and caretaker.

These roles do not require a lot of your time and are also flexible. The organisation will reimburse travel expenses to volunteers.

David Harris, chairperson, remarked: “Every town needs a community centre, a hub for people to meet and get involved, volunteers are vital in the running of this greatly needed community facility, without them the likelihood is the centre will close with a great loss to the community.”

By giving a little of your time you can help this community centre to continue its contribution to the town.

Like all other Vale Community Centres, Celtic Way is run by volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to become involved within the centre contact Janine Richardson initially on 01446 421782 or email info@vvb.org.uk
