STARTING this year the Vale of Glamorgan and Barry Town Council will be working in partnership to provide a pop-up library visiting residential homes and sheltered housing complexes in the Barry area.
But before this service can be delivered they need to find – and train – a suitable driver who will assist a member of staff in loading/unloading a transit-type van with crates of library books, driving it between stops one day a week and assisting readers at each of the venues.
If you think you have what it takes to become a volunteer driver with the library service, you can contact either the Vale Volunteer Bureau on Barry 421782 or Andy Griffiths, community outreach officer at Barry Library, telephone 725381.
