DURING the Easter Holidays, fifty two children and young people from Barry enjoyed two separate three day Easter camps.

These camps led by Barry Communities First in partnership with Vale of Glamorgan Sports Development took place at Oak Field and Cadoxton Primary School.

Focusing on healthy living and increasing participation in exercise each child and young person took part in a range of sports from rugby to street dance, as well as attending the Amelia Trust Farm where they were able to learn about food production and animal care.

Adele, community wellbeing coach for Barry Communities First, said: "It was great to see so many children having such a positive attitude towards physical activity especially those who don't regularly participate in sports clubs.

The feedback was great from the Amelia trust farm visits too, they especially liked retrieving the eggs from the hen coop."
