WORK on a 50-bed nursing home has been delayed while developers negotiate site issues with Vale Council planners.
The development, at Crystal Springs, Coldbrook Road East, Cadoxton, Barry, was given the green light by the Vale council’s planning committee in 2011 with work required to begin within five years of the application being granted.
Constructors moved in this year, but residents reported work came to a halt last month.
A spokesman for the development said on-site talks took place with the Vale Council recently regarding the slab levels (finished floor level) and details of drainage arrangements, but once details were agreed construction work would re-start.
The Vale Council was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
