POLICE are investigating the daylight theft of a distinctive, high value lorry and trailer from a Barry haulage yard on Sunday, April 20.
Those responsible removed a red Daf type lorry, with a blue roof spoiler, and one of the S & K Haulage Ltd’s trailer units and its contents which included aluminium ingots – after entering the secure compound on David Davies Road, Barry at around 1.30pm.
The company’s trailer had white doors with yellow side curtains and the company’s insignia written in red. The lorry and trailer were last sighted on Port Road, Wenvoe, travelling towards Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff, at around 2pm.
Barry CID is appealing for any witnesses who may have witnessed the theft or have sighted the distinctive lorry and the trailer
