Churches refresh Easter

CHURCH leaders in the Vale are urging residents to take a fresh look at Easter this year with a number of events planned.
Holy Week and Easter Services and events begin at Crossway Church , Court Road, Barry, from 10.30am on Monday, April 14 with the church open for a short time of prayer and quiet.
There will be a Messy Easter children’s activity for primary age children, at Crossway from 2pm to 3.30pm on Wednesday, April 16.

Cadoxton Methodist Church, Last Supper, will be at 7pm on Maundy Thursday, April 17.
St David’s Methodist Church, Colcot, 7.30pm, The Last Supper followed by Tenebrae- a service of light and shadows
The Gathering Place, St Athan, from 10am to 12 midday, Good Friday - a children’s activity for primary school age children. Contact Deacon Samantha Taylor, but places are now limited.
The Churches of Barry Walk of Witness will begin at 12 midday.
The following Methodist Churches are open for private prayer and reflection on Good Friday: Cadoxton 10.30am to 12 midday and St David’s 2pm to 3pm.
Barry Uniting Church, on The Waterfront, at 7pm on Holy Saturday - an Easter Eve Service.
Easter Day: Son-Rise Service, from 6.30am at The Amelia Trust Farm. Bacon cobs and hot drinks available afterwards for small cost to support the Farm.
Cadoxton Easter Day Breakfast 8.30 am.
There will be Easter Morning Celebration Services at all Vale Methodist Churches with Holy Communion at most Churches.
Cadoxton and St David’s at 9.45am, The Waterfront at 10.30am, Crossway and St John on Barry Island, at 11am.
The ministers, stewards and members of all Vale Methodist Churches invite all in the local community to join in with these services and events.
