THE life of an award-winning charity founder has been commemorated with a bench at the Knap, Barry.
In 2012 Lucy Dickenson, who created the SAFE Foundation with her twin sister Hannah, died in a car crash in Zambia aged 32.
The Knap was a special place for the sisters who would celebrate their birthday each year with a picnic on the beach.
Initially running the charity from their mother's home in Barry in 2006 the sisters later travelled the world helping people in developing countries across Asia and Africa.
At the time of the crash Lucy was helping people in Zambia grow their own food.
