A BARRY businessman has ensured his company has moved up a gear after securing a new contract with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).

BHBi, the UK’s leading specialist provider of professional internal audit training, has been awarded a new two-year training contract award with the DVLA.

The contract is for the provision of professional accredited tuition for internal audit staff training towards the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors professional Chartered Internal Auditor award.

BHBi will manage and deliver all nine modules of the IIA Diploma in Internal Audit Practice and IIA Advanced Diploma in Internal Auditing and Management, along with exam revision courses, for DVLA staff.

BHBi has been successfully supplying professional internal audit training to DVLA for five years, which has ensured many staff have achieved the prestigious Chartered Internal Audit CMIIA professional qualification designation.

BHBi will be providing the training venues through its partnership with the Holiday Inn Academy Centres, at Cardiff. Training will be delivered through BHBi’s state of the art online learning system and by its highly professional training teams on face to face block release courses, as well as through structured assignments.

Vale MP, Alun Cairns said: “I have come to know Paul Haley and BHBi over a number of years and the company is a great Barry success whose reach extends across the UK.

'It is a first class example of a local business succeeding in a very competitive market place.

'Their reputation is strong in Whitehall. I am familiar with their work with the Treasury and this extension to the Department of Transport shows that local companies can win contracts beyond their immediate market.”
