AGENT Green the Dragon Whisperer came to Barry children's library to enchant visitors with her storytelling as part of World Book Day celebrations.
Telling a mix of traditional folk tales and personal accounts of her life as a dragon whisperer, guest Chloe of the midnight story tellers, entertained children from Holton Road and Gladstone Road primary schools.
Children's librarian Gillian Southby said: "It's all about giving the children an appreciation of storytelling, creative writing and an enjoyment of books."
Chloe - no surname - of the Midnight Story Tellers stopped at Barry library as part of a tour across the Vale.
"I'm here in Wales telling stories about dragons," she said. "Which is a bit like taking coal to Newcastle.
"What this is about is firing up the children's imaginations and giving them a love of story and a love of the spoken word.
"Once they see that this is a performance, my hope is that they will be inspired to improve their speaking skills and to use their imaginations."
