A BARRY primary school beckoned its pupils into a dream scenario as it threw open its doors to the community for a Welsh-themed week.
Storyteller Richard Berry listened to youngsters’ dreams as they explored the tale realm and local artist Mark Alexander visited Oak Field primary, in Gibbonsdown, to work with the children.
Open afternoons were held on the Wednesday and Thursday for parents and members of the local community to visit the school and take part in a variety of Welsh-themed workshops alongside the children.
Pupils impressed visitors by making lovespoons, building castles, baking Welsh cakes, studying and playing rugby, and creating artwork and crafts.
The school held an Eisteddfod on the Friday to round off its nationally proud week.
