A FUNDRAISER for farmers in Somerset who have had their lives devastated by flooding is being held by fellow farmers in the Vale.

Glamorgan National Farmer's Union and Young Farmer's Club have joined together to raise money for farmers who will be facing financial hardship as they struggle to restore their livelihoods after the flood waters subside.

A fundraiser evening will take place at Barry Memorial Hall on Friday, February 28 with entertainment from Maendy and Wick Young Farmer's Clubs

In addition to the entertainment there will be a modest knife and fork supper provided by the A Taste of Class catering company. Bar facilities will be provided, together with a raffle and an auction of items kindly provided by local suppliers.

Tickets will be on a first come, first served basis, tickets are £20 for adults, £10 for children and £15 for Glamorgan YFC members 16 and over.
