A GAVIN and Stacey cycling challenge is inviting Vale residents to sign up for a 250-mile journey aimed at bringing charity joy.
Up to 100 enthusiastic bike riders are needed to pedal their way from Billericay, Essex, and Barry and help raise money for several charities across the UK.
Barry Island cafe owner Craig O’Shea, backing the challenge, said he was hoping to enter a team of four.
The challenge, organised by Ripped Events, begins in Billericay on Friday, August 22 with the team due to arrive in Barry, via south of the M4, on Sunday, August 24.
The challenge cost £499 and includes accommodation and support.
