POLICE are appealing for information after a car part from a stolen vehicle in Pontypridd was found dumped in Barry.
Officers need information following the theft of a black Vauxhall Corsa from Chequered Flag Car Sales, in Pontypridd.
The car was taken for a test drive on Saturday, January 24.
Its bulkhead – identified through the chasis number – was found two days later, dumped in a recess along the A4226, popularly known as The Five Mile Lane which runs between Bonvilston and Barry.
Police want to hear from anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious along the stretch of the lane close to Northcliffe Farm Shop.
It is likely that the car part was dumped late on Sunday or during the morning of Monday, January 6.
Anyone with information is urged to call South Wales Police’s non emergency 101 number or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
