And the young people's section was won by cubs from 11th Barry Sea Scouts with The Bird Tree - a total of 43 birds made by the cubs in an array of colour.
People’s warden at St Mary’s Church Susan Borges said: “A wonderful festival was enjoyed by all.
“We had the pleasure of listening to nine school choirs, Barry Choral Society, Cadoxton school on the hand drums and Superstars a group of very talented young people.
“The standard of entry for the trees this year was very high, so high that we had to have three different categories.
“A wonderful community event was enjoyed by many, with people from many different walks of life, displaying their ideas in the form of a Christmas tree.
“May I on behalf of Cadoxton Juxta-Barry thank everyone for their entries and for all those who took part or helped in any way.
She thanked the Vale mayor and her consort, the town mayor and Vale AM Jane Hutt for their help with the judging of the trees and presenting the certificates to the winners.
