SELF-STYLED marketing gurus Louis Ross and have ensured the town’s football team are fully kitted out in time for Christmas.

Barry Town United AFC is to sport the Barrybados distinctive logo on its home and away kit in a bid to promote Barry and all the good things it has to offer.

The initiative comes in the wake of a recent Channel 4 documentary, Karaoke Nights, which has gained criticism of its negative portrayal of the town following filming at a few Barry pubs during the summer this year.

Louis said: “2013 has been great for us, but we're looking forward to the New Year. We have a number of plans and ideas which we're hoping to exploit - the partnership with Barry Town United is just one of them. We can't wait to see their kit with our logo printed on. It's fantastic exposure for the town as a whole.

“We're hoping to push on in 2014. We're working on a number of new products.

“Hopefully t-shirts will be finalised and ready for print, and also hoping to release something new as early mid-January.

“Our website is a big part of what we are trying to do also, we have hopes of making it a full tourism website for Barry.

“The basic is up, but we're aiming to add a number of bits in time for the summer season.

“The website is a never ending process.

“We always want to add something extra to it, it's been a massive boost for us over the Christmas period too.

“We've posted to a number of places within the UK.

“Furthest afield was Leeds.”

He added: “We'd also like to thank everyone who has supported us over the year, all our social media followers, the shops who have stocked our products, the council and everyone who has bought some thing off us.

“Without the continued support we wouldn't be where we are, and doing what we enjoy.”
