PUPILS at a Barry primary went technology retro when they used pen, ink, slate boards and pencils for their schoolwork recently.
Year 4 youngsters at Jenner Park school ditched the whiteboards to learn as Victorians did – dressing up, observing drill exercises, and living life the way Victorians did.
Head teacher David Morris said: “The girls then spent the afternoon partaking in lessons in cookery, sewing and housework, while the boys had an afternoon of building, making technical drawings and gardening. Although the children had an enjoyable day, most agreed that it made them realise how lucky they are to be going to school in the 21st century.
