A BOOK of condolence for Nelson Mandela has been set up in the Vale Council offices on Holton Road, Barry.
Anyone wishing to pay their respects to the former South African president, who died on Thursday, December 5, can write their message in the book, which is in the main reception of the offices.
Council leader Neil Moore said: “The people of the Vale unite with mourners around the world in expressing their sadness at the loss of this exceptional man.”
Vale of Glamorgan mayor Margaret Wilkinson said: “Nelson Mandela was a truly great leader whose compassion inspired a generation.”
Members of the public can sign the book Monday to Thursday between 8.30am and 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm until Tuesday, December 17.
