TWO local mayors will be uniting this coming Sunday to pay tribute to the life of Nelson Mandela by planting an oak tree in the grounds of Porthkerry Country Park.
Barry town mayor Councillor Claire Curtis will be joined by Vale of Glamorgan mayor Councillor Margaret Wilkinson to jointly plant the tree as a celebration of the life and work of Nelson Mandela.
Anyone wishing to join the simple ceremony is welcome to attend at 2.45pm meeting adjacent the Forest Lodge, Porthkerry Park, Barry, on Sunday, December 15.
Fairtrade tea and coffee will be provided. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
