DISCOUNT retailer Poundstretcher will create ten new jobs when it relocates to a bigger store on Barry Waterfront Retail Park next week, Friday November 8.

The store will transfer into the former Focus building – also securing the 12 existing team member jobs.

Vale mayor Cllr Margaret Wilkinson will officially open the store at 9am and the first 50 customers on the day will each receive a free £10 voucher to spend in the store.

The 20,000sq foot location is much bigger than the current store and a new pet shop, the Pet Hut, will be opening within the store.

Store manager Ryan Jones said: “We are delighted to move to this bigger, brighter store. We will continue to offer customers a vast range of products at amazing low prices. I’d like to welcome everyone to come into the store and experience our low prices and the new Pet Hut for themselves.”
