A RHOOSE man will be embarking on a great walk of China to raise money for charity.
Father-of-two Andrew Knowles, 43, will be challenging himself to a five day trek along the length of the Great Wall in Beijing to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Andrew said that the walk was being done to help the charity in memory of his mother-in-law who passed away a year ago.
"I saw it advertised and I like walking so I thought I'd give it a go" he said, "It's going to be a big challenge but I'm looking forward to it."
In order to get to China Andrew needs to raise £3000 which he is hoping to achieve through a Just Giving donation page and a charity night being hosted at the Fontygary Inn, Rhoose on Friday, November 1.
The event will feature a charity betting race night as well as a raffle and auction.
