CCTV team helps police to 21 arrests

THE Vale council’s CCTV team helped the police make 21 arrests in Barry last week.
A person was arrested for theft at the Waterfront Retail Park, Barry on October 8. Two people were arrested for possession with intent to supply on Arno Road. Police made an arrest for theft at Dunlin Court and arrested a wanted person on George Street, all on October 8.
The following arrests took place on October 9; one person was arrested in York Place for being drunk in charge. Three people were arrested for burglary at Greenwood Street. One person was arrested for theft on Broad Street and a further three people were arrested for theft on Holton Road in two separate incidents. A person was arrested for theft and another person was arrested for handling stolen goods at Dunlin Court.
Two people were arrested for public order offences on Holton Road on October 11.
On October 12 police arrested a person on Port Road for possession of a weapon.
A wanted person was arrested on Port Road on October 13. On the same day, police arrested two people for possession of a weapon on Millennium Way.
A missing person was found by police on Barry Road on October 11.
Police issued one person with a court summons on Holton Road on October 13.
CCTV operators contacted the police 61 times during the week ending October 13.
All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
