Teacher's languages prove a lot to speak about

A BARRY secondary school teacher has been crowned Modern Foreign Languages Teacher of the year 2013 following interviews with her pupils.
Ysgol Bro Morgannwg modern foreign languages subject leader Nia Rowlands earned the accolade, dedicated by Cilt Cymru and Routes into Languages, for teachers who have displayed excellence in language teaching.
Mrs Rowlands, who has been leading the MFL department for two years, was nominated by the pupils.
One of her French classes was observed and year 10 pupils interviewed.
Head teacher Dr Dylan Jones said: “We are extremely proud of this achievement and delighted that we have the best MFL teacher in Wales currently on our staff.”
