Rotary Club of Barry attend Vale Show

THE Rotary Club of Barry attended the Vale of Glamorgan Show held at Fonmon on August 21.
They offered free blood pressure tests on behalf of the Stroke Association as part of their Know your Blood Pressure initiative. The club president Peter Battle said that it was an excellent show and they had been overwhelmed by the number of people wanting to take part. The two nurses Janice Evans and Jane Lamey, had taken a record number of tests and had worked flat out to meet the demand.
The emergency service First Response Team, complete with defibrillator and dummies shared the stand and gave valuable instructions and demonstrations.
All in all it was a very successful day and the Rotary Club of Barry would like to thank everyone who supported them.
The Rotary Club of Barry meets weekly in the Mount Sorrel Hotel on Thursdays 6pm for 6.30pm. If you would like further information you can speak to membership chairman Peter Battle on 01446 710204 or look online at www.ribi.org
